Occasionally we like to throw the spotlight on a more established brand here at TQS. Whilst we try to bring you the next big thing in our weekly Fashion Finds, sometimes it’s great to show a bit of love for a label that’s doing it right, and has been for some years. Enter Dunhill – the premium, British, menswear label.
Born in the late 1800s, Alfred Dunhill (the label), focused on timepieces and accessories, before stretching it’s reach into menswear, luggage and leather. Their four ‘homes’ around the globe, which includes one in their London base, have become lifestyle destinations in their own right, housing restaurants and salons. Their excellence, not only in their primary fashion field, but also in their shows, across social media, and on the handy guides to keeping your clothes at their best, has made them a leading traditional label – shaking the Saville Row stuffiness that heritage can attribute, whilst retaining a ‘notch above’ feel to everything they do.
Their summer campaign, showcases man’s love for being at sea, in a short featuring Iain Percy OBE, British Sailor and Olympic Champion. It’s a beautifully crafted piece which ones again intrinsically weaves the lifestyle of the wearer with his garments. If you’re planning to sail a ship, or just sit in the park, this summer, check out our Dunhill favourites below.
Dunhill’s range of designer shirts is a good place to start – a crisp, cool poplin shirt which comes in blue or salmon would take you from the office to the beer garden in one fell remove of the tie. Or if you’re going away, the tan men’s leather bag is perfect for a weekend city break. Feel free to bring us with you, yeah? Oh, and you know how we KEEP going on about finding the perfect, mint-mouthwash t shirt for the summer? You betcha there’s one from Dunhill. It’s glorious – simple and smart. If you’re going to be larking about on a boat, or laying by the pool, why not have a t shirt that matches the clear water, or the cloudless sky, right?
We can smell the suncream already.
