Freesat, the UK’s free-to-air digital satellite television provider, is launching a new smart on-screen TV guide, available in its next generation Freesat+ boxes.
It comes with all the standard features you’d expect of a smart TV guide (catch up, now & next, series record etc.) but what sets it aside from the competition is its “backwards TV guide” which allows you to watch TV you’ve missed by scrolling back through the guide on selected channels. Watch the video for a more detailed explanation:
We have to say, this looks like a great feeature. Virgin’s catch up process is clunky at best whereas this looks slick and snappy. Maybe it’s time for an upgrade…

We’re currently running a competition to win a 32″ HDTV if you want to upgrade your television before you’re freeview.
