Game of Thrones will return in 2014

Fans of Game of Thrones are dotted all around the world, and audiences can’t wait for the cast to return to our screens once more. The show will be returning in early 2014, filling the TV void for fans of the recently completed Breaking Bad and the soon-to-return The Walking Dead. To celebrate the shows (reasonably) imminent return, we’re taking a look at some of the characters we can’t wait to see return to our screens, thanks to their amazing acting ability and wonderfully intense storylines!

Tyrion Lannister

Played by the always brilliant Peter Dinklage, Tyrion is, without doubt, the stand out star of the show. Despite a range of difficult relationships with a wide majority of the characters in the show, Tyrion has won the hearts of viewers the world over. While Tyrion may not be the typical hero, he is one of the few characters who seem to be mostly honest and courageous. He lead the battle at Blackwater in Season 2, attempts to please and honour Sansa following their marriage, and is generally a good egg. We can’t wait for his jovial behaviour to return to our screens for 10 more episodes!

Joffrey Baratheon

Named as many as the most evil character on TV, Joffrey Baratheon is perhaps one of the most entertaining and unpredictable characters on the show. Played by Jack Gleeson, no viewer can watch his increasingly sadistic actions and not be shocked and appalled. The hatred for Joffrey has reached such levels that Round Games have created a ‘slap Joffrey’ game for everyone to enjoy! Despite Gleeson’s wonderful and charming personality, it can’t be denied that, as Joffrey, he has a truly slappable face!

Arya Stark

Feisty and determined, Arya is a welcomed break from the suppressed female characters in the show. Played by the hilarious Maisie Williams, Arya’s transition and character development in the show has been shocking and brilliant to watch. She has transformed from a reasonably innocent child to a seasoned fighter, who believes that she is entirely alone. Arya’s loneliness is heart-breaking, made only tougher by her increasingly cold personality, and it will be incredibly interest to see where her journey takes her in season 4.
